Baked Trout Recipe, Mushroom Stuffed Trout
This trout recipe is a bit more difficult than some of our others, but please don’t let it stop you from making the dish! This is a delicious trout recipe that works so good on so many different occasions. Recipe Ingredients;
- Butter, 3 table spoons
- Olive Oil, 3 table spoons
- 5 cups of fine, sliced mushrooms (dont be afraid of getting creative here!)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- Parsley, 3 table spoons
- Thyme, 3 table spoons
- 48 Oz. of todays trout catch
- Lemon juice, 2 table spoons
- Quarter cup melted butter
I know what your thinking, thats allot of ingredients! Dont let all the ingredients stop you from making this wonderful trout recipe, hopefully you already have them prepared, because we are ready to roll, lets start putting this great trout recipe together, lets impress your family, or friends! To get this trout recipe rolling you will want to melt 3 table spoons of butter in oil that has been placed in a skillet or large pan. This should be done at a medium heat.
Once the butter has melted and the mixture has come to temperature add your mushrooms. I did not indicate any specific mushrooms for a reason, use your imagination and get creative! Once the mushrooms have been added you can start adding your spices Onion, celery, parsley and finally your thyme!
You will want to let all of this cook together until all liquid has evaporated, while stirring quite frequently. this step in this trout recipe should take about 20 minuets! Once done season to taste with salt and pepper.
Now pre heat your oven to about 350 degrees and butter a baking pan. Take your lemon juice and sprinkle it over and inside of your trout. Stuff each trout with your mushroom mix, which you prepared in the first step. Now brush the trout with butter, cook the trout for about 25 minuets, during that time continue brushing the trout with butter!
After you remove the trout from your oven you can again, season to taste with salt and pepper, or any other spice you feel would work, I like to get creative with my trout recipes and I really feel that you should do the same!
