Walk Softly When Approaching A Trout Stream
Many trout fishermen don’t realize just how well a trout can pick up on sound and vibration in and around the waters in which they swim. Trout can pick up on the slightest of sounds and vibrations because of their keen senses and the fact that water transmits sound and vibration much better than air. So it is very important to walk softly when approaching any trout stream, a heavy foot can and will spook trout.
Trout are outfitted with a special sensory organ that can detect sound and vibration far better than a human. They also have an ear that is similar in many ways to that of a humans, but is much more sensitive. So walking with a heavy foot or talking to loud while approaching a fishing hole can spook any trout before you reach the waters edge. The chance of noise and vibration decreases in fast moving turbulent water though it is still wise to walk with a very light foot!
Walk softly when approaching that next fishing hole and you will be rewarded with more trout!
